History

We have been making tailored dresses, shirts and trousers for 80 years. Baseiria is family company, created in 1934 by the Mr. Andreu Baseiria Seguí, member of the Tailoring Teacher’s Society “La confianza” in Barcelona.

 He ran the tailor shop in Gran Via for 43 years. Following his father’s steps, his son Joan trained as a tailor in different sewing workshops in Barcelona and he studied the most accredited methods of tailoring.

In 1965 the business expanded and a new shop in Badalona was open, where the customer can still find tailored clothes for men and women.

In 1978 we moved to the shop at 24, Aribau street, widening our offer in tailoring and shirt making, smooth knit fabric for men as well as custom-fitted dresses for women. Not only do we work with some of the most highy regarded manufacturers of fabrics and tailors, but we also give utter importance to traditional ways of tailoring. In other words, we make every effort to please our customers and friends, so that they are well-dressed with nice and high-quality suits.
